Sheet Music: A Window on 19th-Century California
A virtual library created through grants from the California
State Library (1997; 1999; 2000) and HUD's Joint Community Development
Program (1998); UCB research funds (2007). Images and descriptions are managed by the
Library,
Univ. of Calif., Berkeley, and are accessible through UC Library Search, a catalog
of the holdings of all campuses of the University of California,
as well as through WorldCat. To search only the project's digitized California sheet music, some 2,700 records and images,
visit the California Digital Library's Calisphere. Calisphere's search engine
replaces the Cheshire II search engine created by Prof. Ray Larson that served the project for decades until his death.
