I'm currently a second year Master's student at the UC Berkeley School of Information. My focus is on understanding the technical and semantic challenges of evolving information architectures within health care organizations. For my final group project, I'm working with two other iSchool students; Jill Blue Lin and Katherine Ahern on a project titled MD:Notes. We're developing a multi-device application for clinicians to enter progress notes within a hospital setting. In addition, I'm the graduate student instructor for Robert Glushko's Document Engineering course, and assisting in the research and curriculum development of a new design models and methods course. Previously, I worked for five years as a senior application analyst for San Francisco General Hospital. Upon enrolling at UC Berkeley, I began working as a system integration consultant for the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium.
