I was fortunate to be admitted to the most renowned university in Taiwan. My major in sociology has given me a keen awareness of people’s real needs and their unique relationship with social structure. Among the diverse subfields of sociology, I am particularly interested in media and technology.
With strong aspirations in media, I joined the Revolution-Star Publishing Company, which is renowned for its creative marketing, high-quality editing, and sizeable book sales in Taiwan. Viewing book as our main product, I defined my task as to create the best user experience for readers. To fulfill this goal, I oversaw the entire publishing process from editing, designing and marketing.
To prepare myself to the career change to UX, I got the chance to work at the most professional UX design center in Taiwan with various business clients in different industries.
Aside from my focus on HCI and Infomation Visualization, the intelligent academeics also led me to delve into social entreprenurship and ICTD.
During my internship, I worked with a fabulous team to polish a game-changing app. They not only taught me the professional skills, their passion to UX defines the criteria of an outstanding UXer.
I am currently looking for a full-time UX designer position. You can read my resume for more information about me.
"Sophia's extremely talented as both a designer and a researcher, and is able to wear both hats with ease. However, the best thing about working with Sophia is that she can take very vague or little direction and just seem to know what to do...and then exceed expectations."
- Elisa H., Head of User Insights at Tophatter
" Sophia is driven to learn and highly motivated to contribute to a project in whatever capacity is required. She was able to help with both research and interaction design with excellent results."
