Ryan Shaw

I am an assistant professor in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina. My research focuses on how events might be used as conceptual structures for digitally organizing narrative information across different types of media, and how information systems might better support the expression of multiple perspectives on events and their linkages.

I am also quite interested in new media art and entertainment and try to involve myself in projects that explore the spaces between technology, entertainment, art, and design.

If you’re interested in learning more about me you can browse some of my recent projects, look at my resume, read my blog, or follow what I’m reading.
