Change Blindness in SPIRE

SPIRE galaxies

Show galaxies of documents clustered by similarity.

Can encode age: fading, motion, size, color, shape.

Prototype 1: encode age redundantly as line length, direction, colour, AND position
(suck towards center as things get older).

Prototype 2: vision is foveal, so put new stuff in center, old stuff at edges instead.

Final solution: use angle and length for age.  Position unchanged.  Colour hue chosen by user.

Want to see new contours and compare to old set.  Always know what's coming in or
what's going away.

Tried: cross fading, morphing, wireframe outlines, transparency.

Final: cross fade with wireframe only for new contour.  Fade in wireframe; fade
wireframe to solid while old solid fades out.
