I School Computing & Information Services (CIS) provides MySQL services to individuals and groups within the I School community. To request a MySQL account and database, send email to (include your I School username in your request). You will receive email notification once your account and database are ready.

Users who don't have an I School computing account (e.g., non-I School students enrolled in the i257 course) will need to contact the instructor for information on signing up for an I School account.

This tutorial will walk you through some common activities, including connecting to your database, modifying its structure (e.g., creating and deleting tables), modifying its content (e.g, adding and deleting rows in the tables), and importing data from external sources using both of these interfaces.
