Current Projects
Project: Delphi Usability Delphi is a museum collections browser designed to showcase the collections of the Phoebe A. Hearst Anthropology Museum at U.C. Berkeley. Much of the collection is unavailable to view in the museum due to the small size of the exhibition space, and the browser will serve to augment and enrich the museum visitor's experience. Our team is testing the site for usability issues before it is released to the public. Our methods are interviews, usability tests and a survey.
Project: Information & Criminal Justice Community law organizations work to place people with criminal records into work situations. When potentially damaging data is expunged from a person's record in the court system, the removal is not always registered immediately with data collection firms, and errors appear down the line and jeopardize chances at employment. This project aims to analyze how information flows between government agencies in the criminal justice system and private data brokers. Of particular interest is how and when errors are introduced into these records, and how processes and systems can be improved to avoid such errors.
Project: Recreational Sports Information Systems I am currently acting as an analyst on several ongoing projects at the Department of Recreational Sports that are part of a long-term collaboration between the recreation departments of three University of California campuses. My primary responsibilities are conducting needs assessment, creating use cases and mapping processes that pertain to the administration of sport clubs, intramural sport programs, equipment management and point of sale. |
