Emanuel Goldberg (1881-1970)

Described himself as:
"A chemist by learning,
a physicist by calling,
and a mechanic by birth"

Emanuel Goldberg actively contributed to a broad range of innovations in information technology in the first third of the 20th century.

His "Statistical Machine" designed by 1927 was perhaps the first information retrieval system to use electronics.
