Braunstein Prize for his paper: "Deadweight Loss Effect of the 'Notice and Takedown' Procedures and Safe Harbor Provisions in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998." (January 2010) SHEIKH TAHER ABU, Ph.D. Student, University of Hyogo, Japan, wins the O. S. Braunstein Prize for his paper: "Technological Innovations and 3G Mobile Phone Diffusion: Lessons Learned from Japan." NIR KSHETRI, Associate Professor of Business Administration, University of North Carolina – Greensboro, USA wins the Meheroo Jussawalla Prize for 2010 for his paper: "Cloud Computing in Developing Economies: Drivers, Effects and Policy Measures." (January 2009) The Meheroo Jussawalla PTC Research Paper Prize 2009 was awarded to Professor ROB FRIEDEN, Pioneers Chair of Telecommunications and Law, Pennsylvania State University, for his paper, "The Spin in Broadband Statistics: Finding Ways to Make a Credible Assessment of Next Generation Network Deployment." (December 3, 2007) The Pacific Telecommunications Council announces the winners of its 2008 research paper prizes. SANG WON LEE, Doctoral Student, Mass Communications, University of Florida, is awarded the O.S. Braunstein Prize for the best student research paper, "The Determinants of the Global Broadband Deployment: An Empirical Analysis." NIR KSHETRI, Assistant Professor, Bryan School of Business and Economics, University of North Carolina-Greensboro, is the first recipient of the Meheroo Jussawalla Research Paper Prize which recognizes the best overall participant research. His paper is "Looking at the Facts: What we Know (and Don't Know) about the Chinese Internet Protocol TV Market." (April 16, 2007) The Pacific Telecommunication Council announces two special named awards for excellence in telecommunications research: The “O.S.
