POPcuts (Buy music. Make money)

Popcuts is a music store that gives back to fans. Hannes Hesse, Yiming Liu and Kevin Mateo Lim (MIMS '08) have turned their ISchool final project into a live website,

You know quality music when you hear it. Download DRM-free songs for 99¢.
Get rewarded for your good taste with store credit. Every time a song you bought sells, you get a cut of the proceeds. Earlier buyers get more, so it pays to be a trendspotter. Find other people with great taste. Because music is social. Meet that friend who always recommends your next favorite music.

mReplay (Instant Mobile Replay)

mReplay ® is a patent-pending information system that provides on-demand instant sports replay and traditional media convergence functionality to most mobile devices (for example non-3G mobile phones or even PDAs), even those mobile devices without video playback. This project is part of SIMS research at the University of California, Berkeley's School of Information Management & Systems.  The mReplay team is led by Patrick Riley.

opentech  (opentech journal and opentech online)

opentech
embodies the output of  "Realizing Digital Convergence", a joint course offered by SIMS and the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) in Munich.  The course website provides additional information and links, including links to the print journal (in JPEG) and  PPT presentations about the course, the technology, and the outputs.
